Network Controller


The Network Controller will monitor and control ORBCOMM satellites; monitor satellite subsystems via telemetry to ensure they are performing within specified guidelines per approved pass plans and procedures; notify appropriate satellite engineer of any anomaly and execute solutions as directed. 
Additionally, the successful candidate will monitor and control ground earth stations (GES); monitor GES operating parameter and take appropriate action to correct if not in normal range; ensure GES is properly configured and tracking the satellites; monitor, manage and control the ORBCOMM network; actively engage in fault isolation, fault management, performance monitoring, as well as active command and control of the; and take corrective actions as required to restore Network service.  

The successful candidate will have graduated from a technical/junior college or equivalent experience; demonstrated experience or education in network systems. The candidate must also have demonstrated knowledge of signal theory; demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting; and ability to pass annual certification. Basic knowledge of UNIX is helpful.
