ORBCOMM’s ST 9100 dual-mode satellite/cellular IoT terminal provides the flexibility needed to track assets regardless of location, with satellite and automatic 4G LTE/3G/2G cellular fallback. This powerful device leverages the IsatData Pro network for satellite connectivity with the cellular network powered by the ORBCOMM SIM. The IsatData Pro network provides low-latency satellite connectivity with large message sizes. The ORBCOMM SIM allows ubiquitous cellular connection, supported by a global network of cellular providers.
This ruggedized, environmentally sealed device has applications for maritime, transportation, oil and gas, heavy equipment, utilities, agriculture and more. Its versatility means that the ST 9100 can be installed on both fixed and mobile assets, providing reliable connectivity in remote regions, even if the asset moves in and out of cellular range.
The device is programmable, powered by the Lua framework, allowing the development of custom applications. These terminal applications sit onboard the device, allowing advanced alerting, integration with sensors and two-way communication to control the device.
The ST 9100 comes equipped with several inputs and outputs, including RS-232, RS-485, CAN bus, 1-wire and 4-20mA. Additional integration is powered by Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, allowing the device to connect wirelessly to sensors, and for technicians to service the device from a mobile app.

The ST 9100 offers a flexible programming environment that supports the development of custom solutions, as well as support for ORBCOMM configurable terminal apps.
Standard features include multiple I/Os, including analog/digital, 2 RS232, 1 RS-485/J1708, 1-Wire and 2 CANbus. 3-Axis accelerometer, Bluetooth connectivity and multiple SIMs are also supported.
