The commercial sea port of Port au Prince, Haiti now boasts an advanced vessel tracking and communications system, designed to aid port management and international relief organizations. The identification and second-by-second position, course and speed of any ship within tens of kilometers of the port is presented to Haitian port operators and relayed to the US DOT / Volpe Center Maritime Safety and Security Information System (MSSIS) server.

ORBCOMM REACHES SETTLEMENT ON SATELLITE INSURANCE CLAIM
ORBCOMM Inc. announced that ORBCOMM Inc. and its satellite insurers settled any and all claims relating to the Coast Guard Demonstration satellite and five quick launch satellites. The settlement is in the amount of $44,250,000, which equates to 88.5% of the maximum claim of $50,000,000 from third party insurers. ORBCOMM retains ownership of the two quick launch satellites still operating.

ORBCOMM AND SPACEX REACH DEAL TO LAUNCH SATELLITE CONSTELLATION
ORBCOMM Inc. and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. announce they have reached an agreement for SpaceX to launch 18 ORBCOMM Generation 2 (OG2) satellites to begin as early as the fourth quarter of 2010 through 2014. SpaceX will deliver ORBCOMM’s second-generation satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO) for the purpose of supporting ORBCOMM’s existing constellation of satellites, adding new features, and growing its global Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Automatic Identification System (AIS) offerings.

Wood (Lieutenant General, U.S. Army, Ret.) to the Board of Directors as a Class III director, effective September 1, 2009, to serve until the company's 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. Wood was elected after ORBCOMM expanded the size of the Board of Directors to nine members.
