ORBCOMM Wins 16000-Unit Order from One of the Nation's Largest Retail Fleets

Rochelle Park, NJ, October 28, 2014 – ORBCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: ORBC), a leading global provider of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions, today announced that one of the nation’s largest retail fleets has selected ORBCOMM to deliver 16,000 dual-mode tracking and monitoring solutions across its mixed fleet of dry and refrigerated trailers. ORBCOMM expects to ship the majority of the order in the fourth quarter of this year.
ORBCOMM will provide its award-winning, dual-mode GT 1100 solution for the customer’s dry van assets utilizing its new, more advanced OG2 satellites and Verizon’s CDMA cellular network. In addition, the customer will utilize ORBCOMM’s industry-leading, dual-mode RT 6000+ cold chain monitoring solution for its refrigerated assets. ORBCOMM’s powerful dual-mode tracking and monitoring solutions are ideal for meeting the demanding requirements of the customer’s nationwide supply chain operations by ensuring complete asset visibility and continuous network coverage.

ORBCOMM Completes Credit Agreement to Access up to $160 Million

As part of the Credit Agreement, ORBCOMM will have access to a $70 million initial term loan facility, a revolving credit facility for up to $10 million as well as acquisition term loan facilities for up to $80 million for potential growth opportunities.

ORBCOMM Launches Chassis Tracking Solution to Transportation Industry

ORBCOMM Launches Commercial Service for Its First Six OG2 Satellites

ORBCOMM’s advanced OG2 satellites are providing both M2M messaging and Automatic Identification System (AIS) service for its global customers. ORBCOMM successfully launched the first six OG2 satellites on July 14, 2014, aboard a dedicated SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL.

After comprehensive in-orbit testing, the six satellites have been properly spaced within their orbital planes and are now processing over 20% of the network’s M2M traffic. With the addition of the OG2 satellites, ORBCOMM is now collecting over 13 million AIS messages from more than 130,000 unique vessels per day, surpassing all other AIS networks in service quality.

Decker will use ORBCOMM’s RT6000+, a powerful two-way cold chain telematics device that provides comprehensive temperature, fuel management, maintenance, and logistical applications services for its refrigerated fleet. ORBCOMM also will provide a robust web application with data reporting and analytics capabilities to increase in-transit visibility and efficiency of Decker’s refrigerated transport operations.
