Marc Eisenberg joined ORBCOMM in 2002 and serves as Executive Chairman of ORBCOMM’s Board of Directors. He has held a number of executive leadership positions at ORBCOMM, including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure, ORBCOMM has grown exponentially, increasing annual revenue by 1,100% and subscribers by 515%. He has launched 62 low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites on 11 rockets, acquired 14 companies, taken ORBCOMM public on the Nasdaq in 2006, and transitioned it back to a privately held company valued at $1.1 billion in a 2021 acquisition by GI Partners, all while solidifying ORBCOMM as a pioneer, technology disrupter and leader in the global industrial IoT market. Before joining ORBCOMM, Mr. Eisenberg was Senior Vice President of Cablevision Electronics Investments, where he was responsible, among other duties, for selling Cablevision services including video and Internet subscriptions through its retail channel. Previously, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at the consumer electronics company, The Wiz, he was responsible for more than 2,000 employees and $1 billion in annual sales.
