Our approach to AI is guided by governance policies which require human oversight, privacy, security, and continuous improvement in our approach. We protect customer information through the use of approved tools, controlled access, and appropriate safeguards.
ORBCOMM is committed to handling customer data responsibly. ORBCOMM’s privacy materials describe how we handle customer personal data collected through our products, services, websites, support, and business activities. ORBCOMM’s website also makes clear that ORBCOMM has never sold and will never sell data acquired by visits to its website to any third party.

We ensure meaningful human oversight of all AI systems. Humans remain accountable for AI-supported decisions and retain the authority to review, override, or disable AI outputs. Oversight mechanisms are embedded throughout the AI lifecycle to support responsible, ethical, and lawful use.

Customer information is protected through approved tools, controlled access, and safeguards.
AI WE WILL NOT PURSUE
Boundaries for responsible use
ORBCOMM does not pursue AI uses that are intended to create unlawful discrimination, violate privacy or confidentiality obligations, undermine datarights, or create avoidable harm.
We also will not intentionally use AI in ways that conflict with applicable law, security requirements, or ORBCOMM’s governance guardrails.
Where AI use cases present elevated legal, privacy, ethical, operational, or security risk, we will conduct additional review, controls, or human oversight before deployment.
