Maximizes efficiency, utilization and performance for dry van and refrigerated trailer fleets
ROCHELLE PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ORBCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq:ORBC), a global provider of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and TMW Systems, Inc. (TMW), a leading provider of enterprise transportation solutions, today announced the successful integration of ORBCOMM's fleet tracking and monitoring system with TMWSuite® software.
ORBCOMM's advanced platform integrates closely with TMWSuite to provide trucking companies across North America with the ability to capture near real-time trailer data for both refrigerated and dry transport assets through one comprehensive system. Leveraging ORBCOMM's industry-leading GT 1100 dry van trailer tracking solution and its RT 6000+ cold chain monitoring solution, customers will have access to valuable trailer data, including temperature, mileage, fuel levels, operational condition and GPS position. The ORBCOMM interface, with its advanced functionality and flexibility, will also enable TMW customers to gain significant savings, optimize temperature compliance and prevent unauthorized usage.
"ORBCOMM's interface with TMWSuite will enable carriers to leverage end-to-end, integrative technology to manage and control their assets seamlessly through one combined data feed, while optimizing their profitability and performance," said Christian Allred, Senior Vice President of ORBCOMM Enterprise Solutions. "We look forward to continuing to work with TMW on future integrations with their best-in-class applications that will help customers proactively and cost-effectively run their trucking operations - no matter what size fleet or asset type they have."
"ORBCOMM is a proven technology leader in the transportation industry, and we are pleased to expand our relationship and broaden our service offering with this new integration," said Rod Strata, TMW Systems' Executive Vice President of Operations and General Manager, TMWSuite. "Our dry van and refrigerated customers can find additional business intelligence and near-real-time asset visibility with ORBCOMM to enable them to maximize their resources and integrate services from end-to-end in the transportation process."
"We are excited to have ORBCOMM integrated into the TMWSuite product lineup, which enables us to easily monitor the location and status of our refrigerated assets and set alerts via ORBCOMM to monitor the temperature of our reefers, based on the requirements of each unique customer order," said Phillip Seston, Operations Manager for H & N Logistics, LLC. "Through this integration, our dispatchers can work more efficiently, increase asset utilization and improve our overall day-to-day operations."
As previously announced in the fall of 2014, ORBCOMM has also completed an integration with TruckMate® TMS software from TMW.
